School Council met to discuss the ongoing improvements to Outdoor Play (OPAL Project). They were excited to share their updates and to learn from each other's plans.

There was also much discussion regarding the current plight of Ukraine. Children decided to hold a collaborative Day of Peace Friday 22nd April.

BEAM TRUST PEACE DAY

The Beam Trust raised over £1500 on our Peace Day in April, this was the Trust's first opportunity to collaborate on a charity event and by coming together we have been able to purchase the following items for Refugee Centres in Poland;

  • Toaster, hand blender & deep fat fryer
  • 6 scooters for teenagers
  • Air hockey table, football table, goal posts & basketball stand
  • Table & chairs for toddlers
  • 14ft trampoline & large slide
  • Colouring books, crayons & bubbles
  • Balls, skipping ropes and skipping bands

Many thanks to Mrs Shaw, teaching assistant at Ravenbank for coordinating the requests from the refugee centres, some of the items have already arrived and are in use!
