Volunteering at Statham
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer at Statham. Parents and carers may wish to support one off projects in their child’s or other classes, including educational visits, sports events and celebration events or you may wish to offer weekly support in school to assist with reading and other curricular areas.
If you feel you would like to support in school we will be holding induction meetings each term. The purpose of the meeting is to outline our safeguarding procedures and our expectations of parental conduct and confidentiality when supporting in school. The meeting will also give us the opportunity to address any concerns or questions you may have about your role as a volunteer.
Induction is an essential aspect of volunteering and we would expect all volunteers to attend one of the meetings prior to supporting our pupils.
